The actor, who plays gravedigger Mike Dowd in the Bolton Octagon's A Skull in Connemara, appeared on stage with Noel Coward in the West End.
It was in 1967, and marked Coward's last performance on stage. Princess Margaret attended one of the performances.
The play was A Suite in Three Keys and Sean played the part of an Italian waiter.
Sean said: "There are so many stories I could tell about Coward at that time. I went along for the auditions out on stage and ended up being kept behind. Coward was sat there and asked, because I was called Sean, whether I was Welsh. I said no, Irish, to which he replied 'Ah, that would explain practically everything'.
"I got the part and had a wonderful time. Coward was very sharp. You did not want to cross swords with him. He was a legend who lived up to the name. If you did what you were supposed to do he was fine. He would like you to learn all your lines before you turned up for rehearsal -- which is not always easy to do."
