YOBS and very young people of all ages, who commit all these crimes, should not be able to get away with it.
I am 71, and live on Victory Estate, Bolton. It's awful, no one is safe, with bogus callers etc.
Elderly people have been followed home, mugged for their pensions after getting them from the Post Office. All these crimes are to feed their drug and drinking habits; some as young as 10 are taking drugs.
The detention centres and prisons are full because crime is rife. We in the Chorley Old Road area are like many more crime-ridden estates. There are simply "not enough police". I feel no one seems to care any more.
These young people get away with what they do, and the girls are as bad as the boys. Our MPs must do something soon, it's got so bad when we are are afraid to answer the door, or leave a window open.
I believe there is too much violence shown on TV, and some parents don't even know what their teenagers are up to. A lot of the teenagers come from good homes.
I say there should be stricter rules; it's a nightmare.
