BOSSES do not often get accolades from staff -- but today, one local residential home owner receives a floral "thank you."

Pat Cosgrove from Bolton wrote nominating her former boss Carol Almond, of the Redbank Home at Doffcocker for the BEN Bouquet of the Week.

"I have worked at the home for the past 14 years," explained Pat, "and have just left to go and work at the hospital.

"Carol has been more than a boss to me.

"She's been more like a mum. She has always been there for me, no matter what the problem is.

"Carol has got me to where I am today.

"I always say to her 'how do you cope with all you do?' but she just makes it look so easy.

"I would be very grateful if you could send her a bouquet. She definitely deserves it."
