FOOTBALL or Blind Date -- which would YOU choose?
ITV have just gone for the latter, which is giving Cilla Black a lorra, lorra laughs.
She has taken back her mantle as the Queen of Saturday Night TV with Blind Date now due to be broadcast at 7pm next Saturday.
This kicks into touch the football highlights' programme The Premiership.
Cilla maintained that footie was not Saturday night family light entertainment, and that is when women should rule.
There is no doubt that females all over the country are currently nodding their heads in agreement at this Scouse wisdom.
Of course, there are others seething at the loss of dishy Des Lynam and co-star Ally McCoist (no comment), and the chance to pick up on Bolton Wanderers' matches and the other Premiership fixtures.
And there will certainly be some who would rather undergo liposuction using the family Hoover than watch the new slimline Cilla's excruciating match-making.
But .... she certainly has a point.
What do you think? Is there too much football on the telly and we definitely need a break? Or, will Saturday nights just not be the same again?
