A 59-YEAR-OLD woman charged with stabbing her partner eight times has been sent for trial at crown court.
Kathleen Mary MacCuish, of Campbell Court, Farnworth, is alleged to have attacked Philip Jones with a knife on Saturday night.
The 29-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where his condition is stable.
MacCuish has been charged with attempted murder and was brought before Bolton magistrates yesterday.
Dressed in a fleece jacket and trousers, MacCuish spoke only to confirm her name, age and address.
The case was sent to Manchester Crown Court to be heard on December 10.
MacCuish was granted bail on condition she lived at a bail hostel, was subject to a curfew, did not consume any alcohol and complied with any assessment, treatment or testing.
She was also ordered not to contact prosecution witnesses, report to Rochdale Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and not to enter Farnworth.
