Old Bolts went a goal down a in dismal first half showing at home to Accrington Amateurs but found a new lease of form in the second half for a 4-1 victory. Goals came from Jules Ellis, a Dave Haslam free kick, Darren Martlew header and Ged McGreavey with recent signing from Eagley Mark Grundy man of the match.

Little Lever made the most of missed early chances by home side Horwich RMI for a 2-1 victory. Nathan Smith scored from the penalty spot for the Railwaymen but the visitors took all three points with goals from Mick Jones and Phil Hales. Man of the match for Horwich was Rob Sharratt with Paul Harrison getting the nod for Little Lever.

Thornleigh registered a 6-3 home win over Mostonians with Anthony Bonner getting four and Clint Aspinall two. In Division Two Wyresdale beat Harwood 2-0 with goals from Darren Scott and Paul Crook, sweeper Mark Toker man of the match, while Ainsworth recovered from going a goal behind to win 4-3 at Ashtonians, star performer Billy Nicholson getting three and new signing Lee Montgomery one.

Bolton Lads Club rattled in seven second half goals for a 8-0 away win at Bury Amateurs, Wes Gallagher getting six and Danny Russell and Ian Skelton one each. Ambassadors recovered from a two goal deficit to draw 3-3 in a bruising encounter at Spotland Methodists. Adie Wolstenholme with a trademark 25 yard free kick and Dave Oakley's astute flick put Ambassadors level after the home side had a player sent off . The home side again took the lead but Ambassadors earned a point with Nick Smith's converted penalty.
