IAN Marshall made his debut for Blackpool last night just hours after joining the Seasiders on a month's loan.
The veteran Wanderer joined Steve McMahon's ranks to cover for the absence of injured strikers John Murphy and Graham Fenton.
And, after starting up front, showed his famous versatility by being switched to centre-back in a game in which Blackpool came from behind to draw 2-2 with Stoke City.
Marshall, who has figured in two Premiership games and two Worthington Cup ties for Wanderers' this season, is the third member of the Reebok squad to be loaned out in recent weeks, following Paul Wheatcroft, who is into his second month at Rochdale, and Dean Holden, who is at Oldham.
"The phone call came because they (Blackpool) have a shortage of centre-forwards," Marshall said after the game. "I'm here for a month and I haven't looked beyond that.
"It's good to get first team football again."
