SAYS Brian Derbyshire: 'It's those who make the laws who are the donkeys'.
Those who administer the law do so under very strict guidance and legislation. Judges and magistrates, whether you agree with their sentences or not, make their sentences under the Law, therefore they may not totally be administering 'justice' in individual eyes, but 'the law.'
So then the 'Donkeys' who make the laws are those elected Members of Parliament who you and I, (and yes Brian Derbyshire also, if he exercises his right to vote) elect to represent us and our interests. The final analysis is, be sure you know who it is that you are voting for to represent you in Parliament. They are the ones who make and write the laws others have to administer, and we and them have to live within.
Perfection is indeed a wonderful thing, but a thing which is scarcely attainable this side of the grave. Criticism is easy, getting it perfectly right not quite as easy, but something which can be worked towards.
