IT'S panto season again and fans of the traditional festive entertainment are in for a treat when it returns to Chorley next month.

After the success of last year's production of Cinderella, which was staged at the Town Hall, the borough council has had to use a bigger venue to accommodate more disabled people and group bookings.

This year Mother Goose, produced by the Pendle Theatre Company, will take to the stage at All Seasons Leisure Centre, Water Street, Chorley, from December 11 to 15.

Based on a traditional story, the work is written and directed by theatre company boss Tim Lince of Darwen.

And interest has been so strong for the show that there will be performances three times a day at 10 am, 1.30pm and 7.30pm.

Mark Snaylam, All Seasons manager, is pleased that the centre will be holding the panto.

He said: "We are delighted to host the pantomime and work with the sport, arts and community developmenty unit to bring professional theatre to the town."

And he advised early booking especially for groups.

Cath Hoyle, executive member for the borough's sport, art and community development, said: "The prices are affordable and there are good discount group terms for voluntary groups in the borough".

Fans will be able to meet the cast of Mother Goose when they get in the festive spirit by joining the town centre festivities next month.

Tickets for the show are priced at £5, £4 concessions, and are available from the All Seasons Leisure Centre.
