A £150,000 new look Co-op was due to be unveiled today on the Higher Fold estate at Leigh.
The estate's only village store has been transformed into a Co-op and will now feature extras such as automatic doors, access by ramp, modern decor and scanning tills.
For the customers' convenience a drinks chiller has been installed and beer and spirits will be on sale for the first time.
