WOULD-BE sports stars can take their first steps towards a new future by joining a tailor-made training programme in the Little Hulton and Farnworth Partnership area.
Courses planned so far include level one training in netball, amateur rugby league, swimming pool lifeguard skills and health and fitness.
Cllr Noel Spencer, joint chairman of the partnership's joint steering committee, said: "We want to help people to work in something they enjoy. These courses can be the first step towards achieving this for people who are unemployed or who want to develop a career."
Anyone interested in starting a new career should contact Youth and Family Support on 01204 336210.
