ROYAL Ashton A.C. held their third winterl eague match on Rumworth Reservoir and once again the tip men came out best.
Jim Hanley used the tip to good effect when he caught a bream and numerous small skimmers on red maggot and worm to take the match with 6lbs-3ozs. Gordon Hardman, the lone pole angler was kept busy catching small roach and his finishing weight of 4lbs-12ozs netted him second place. Third was Mick Whelan with 3lbs-10ozs whilst Peter Riley (3-0) and Mark Thomson (2-13) came home fourth and fifth.
