THE weights might have dropped but there is still some Summer life left on Bradshaw Hall Fisheries Number Four Lodge with 30 anglers turning up for last Wednesday's open match.
Not surprisingly though, it was roach bags that dominated with the resident carp seemingly having 'clocked off' for winter. Mike Risby of Tight Lines Shaw took the match from peg 26 with 27lbs-6ozs.
Second was Hazel Taylor of Team Bradshaw who was next door on peg 25 of her favourite water and she returned 25lbs-5ozs.
Fred Cooke was the only framing angler who caught carp along with roach and the unattached angler finished third with 24lbs-8ozs from peg 28. Paul Cunliffe (Unattached) was fourth with 14lbs-0zs and Tony Birchall (Team Bradshaw) was fifth with 9lbs-0ozs.
