A 21-YEAR-OLD motorist suffered minor injuries in an accident with a heavy goods vehicle in Westhoughton last night.
Gary Holroyd, of Glenmore Close, Ladybridge, was driving along Southfield Road when his Vauxhall Astra careered across the road on a bend and ended up on the wrong side of the carriageway. He was then involved in a collision with a DAF wagon at about 10.30pm and suffered a bruised shoulder.
Mr Holroyd was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital but was released later after treatment.
The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
