MRS Thelma Halliwell is a good listener -- in fact, pupils at Gilnow Primary School in Bolton think she is the best.
And they found a way to say "thank you" when they nominated Mrs Halliwell for the BEN Bouquet of the Week.
Four pupils in Year 5 said in their nomination letter: "She always comes to school to listen to us read. She even came when her husband was ill and she still comes now in a good mood.
"The second reason is that although her husband has died, we still have fun with her and she is the best reading teacher we've ever had.
"The third reason is that she comes to school every week on a Wednesday and doesn't get paid! I hope that we have persuaded you to give Mrs Halliwell the Bouquet of the Week. We really think she deserves it."
So did we. And Mrs Halliwell loved the flowers which arrived courtesy of Caroline Ward's flower and gift delivery service (freephone 0800-289-335).
If YOU know someone who deserves our weekly bouquet, write and tell us about them (including their daytime number) to: Bouquet of the Week, Angela Kelly, Features Dept, Bolton Evening News, Churchgate, Bolton BL1 1DE.
