A CHARITY auction organised by nurses to raise cash for their patients will take place tonight after the original date had to be cancelled due to a low turnout.
Staff from the J2 ward at the Royal Bolton Hospital will hold the event at the Rockhouse Hotel, in Peel Garden Road, Eccles, following the disappointment of last month when only three people attended.
They have dozens of top lots, including a signed and framed Manchester City shirt, an original Coronation Street script and an autographed Lancashire Cricket Club bat.
Carol Evans said: "About eight pubs and venues gave us a call after the first auction at the hospital was cancelled.
"We are confident this one will do very well."
The auction will take place at 7.30pm and all the money raised will help patients on the ward who suffer from Alzeimer's disease and other dementias.
