SATURDAY: THEY leave it late but Wanderers stop the rot of three successive home Premiership defeats when they snatch a 2-2 draw with Everton.
Per Frandsen ends the Reebok goal drought with a quickly-taken free kick but the Toffees hit back with goals from ex-Wanderer Alan Stubbs and the ubiquitous Paul Gascoigne. Losing Jussi Jaaskelainen with a back injury just before kick off, having a Kevin Nolan "goal" disallowed and Djibril Diawara sent off, Sam Allardyce had every reason to think the fates were conspiring against him until Michael Ricketts niftily flicked in his ninth goal of the season - his eighth in the Premiership.
MONDAY
ALLARDYCE suggests there is a "witch" flying round the Reebok jinxing his goalkeepers - something he is determined to sort out as a matter of priority. Wanderers fly out to Spain for a four-day working break in Marbella on the Cost del Sol.
TUESDAY
IAN Marshall makes his debut for Blackpool in a 2-2 draw at home to Stoke City after joining the Seasiders on a month's loan. Wanderers' Reserves - who have only Steve Banks and Bo Hansen from the senior squad - are beaten 2-1 by a Gascoigne-inspired Everton second string.
WEDNESDAY
UNDER fire from concerned fans after disturbances at the Everton game, Wanderers admit it is "impossible" to prevent infiltration by visiting fans - a problem faced by many clubs. Gareth Farrelly is called into the Republic of Ireland squad for the first leg of the World Cup play-off tie with Iran in Dublin. Akinori Nishizawa is on the subs' bench as Japan draw their prestige friendly against Italy 1-1 in Saitano.
THURSDAY
SAM Allardyce postpones a scouting trip to Argentina because there are not enough games to make the trip worthwhile.
FRIDAY
JUSSI Jaaskelainen reveals that the back problem that forced him to pull out of the Everton game is still a mystery as he fights to recover in time for the game at Ipswich. Wanderers are linked with Rangers' young striker Kenny Miller. Barcelona 'keeper Richard Dutruel says he does not want to move to the Reebok to play "second fiddle" to Jussi Jaaskelainen.
