FOR three months every autumn, millions of pets and people suffer enormous pain. Every year nothing is done.
Have fun. Light fireworks. Enjoy yourselves, but PLEASE restrict it to November 5.
Bolton is a multi-cultural society and most religions celebrate with fireworks .... soon we will be having fireworks all the year round.
Animals suffer horrendous pain, humans suffer, the elderly are afraid to leave their homes, people with hearing difficulties and hearing aids suffer severe pain as each bang is magnified.
The other side of the coin are the sweat shops in China and India, where hundreds of slaves work a 12-hour day for their food and "bed".
With Diwali celebrations come deaths. Thirty child slaves died last year in India. Hundreds lose fingers as the corrosive gunpowder eats away at their fingers.
If we stop buying them, shops will not sell them.
Do we really need more explosives in the world?
