JOHN Wilkinson is an angry young man because his photo has appeared in the BEN depicting him as an under-age drinker.
Yet, by his own admission, John is an under-age drinker.
But John thinks that the law is wrong and believes that, if he is old enough to "get married, have kids and pay taxes", he should be allowed to "enjoy a quiet drink with his mates". John admits -- "I broke the law", but says "someone should question if the law is just .....".
So, it would seem, because this young man thinks the law is wrong, he takes the law into his own hands and openly defies it. When he is photographed doing this and the photo appears in the BEN, he gets upset.
We may not always agree with the law, John, and, indeed, there are many which need to be amended, but, until they are, we must obey them, otherwise we have anarchy.
Incidentally, John, it is quite legal for young people to drink alcohol at home. And if any law needs to be amended, that one does!
