Tragic waste of a young life

"Carly was just 17-years-old and had her whole life ahead of her.

"It is vital that anyone who can help help catch her killers comes forward and speaks to the police.

"I would also like to reassure people in Bolton that we will catch whoever is responsible."

The alley, where the body was found, is a dead end and runs behind several of the houses in Crawford Avenue and Bromwich Street.

Residents claimed they are too frightened to use the passageway because of the lack of lighting.

One woman, who did not wish to be named, said: "We have been trying for a long time to get something done about that alleyway."

Another resident added: "The back street is used for all sorts of goings on."
