A CAFE owner believes rubbish left to rot in the alley behind her business could attract rats and cause a health hazard.
Margaret Dutton who runs the Derby Diner off Derby Street, Daubhill, with her partner Jim Glover, said she has contacted Environmental Health.
But she said she was annoyed when told it would take three to four days to send an inspector.
She said: "There's lots of domestic rubbish and gin bottles strewn right across the alley."
A spokesman for Environmental Health said: "We can assure Miss Dutton that we will be investigating the matter."
