A CLASS of Year 10 pupils from Rivington and Blackrod High School spent a day at Warburtons Bakery in Bolton during European Health and Safety Week.
During the day they looked at bakery, home and cycle safety.
Safety co-ordinator Keith O'Brien said: "We asked the pupils to identify the safe and unsafe practices of each session with a points system and by asking friends and relatives to sponsor them for every point gained, the pupils linked the safety day to fund-raising for Children in Need."
Any company which wants to take part by sponsoring the pupils is asked to contact Mr O'Brien on 01204 523551.
"In return, your company will be commended and mentioned in all correspondence forwarded to the Health and Safety Executives," Mr O'Brien added. Mr Hugh Driver, Warburtons Safety Trainer, with some of the Rivington and Blackrod pupils.
