THE UNDER 16 Inter-League put in a marvellous performance by thumping the Burnley League with six of the best.
Goals came from Chris Merrit (2), Lewis Hulme (2), Euan Purcell and Gareth Maitland with one each. They now meet Blackpool in the LFA final at the County Ground Leyland.
Another great Inter-League performance came from the Under 12s in their demolition of the North Bury League with nine goals scored by Sam Parkinson and a double brace and solo efforts from Hughes, Hardman, Lafferty, Billington and Mainwaring in their Manchester Albert Lyon Trophy conquest.
It was Jubilee Cup time in the Under 18s and three teams moved into the quarter finals -- Moss Bank, Oldham Royals and Ramsbottom United. In the league there were good wins for Atherton Colls, Lads Club and Bromley Cross.
In the Under 16 Bolton Celtic, Turton B and Ladybridge all had good wins. Bolton Eagles advanced into the quarter finals of the cup with success over Lads Club and in the league good wins for AFC and Ladybridge whose Under 14 side had a great LFA cup success away at Rossendale.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Martindales, Breightmet Utd, Bolton County and Radcliffe Boro who had prolific goalscorer Lee Bruce bagging another four.
It was Jubilee Cup weekend in the Under 13s with Radcliffe Boro, Bromley Cross, St Mary's and Jnr Latics all moving into the next round. In the league CMB had a great win over RMI as did Hindsford, Aspull, Farnworth Boys and Oxford Grove in their respective sections.
Lads Club and County Eagles share top spot in Section A of the Under 12 as do CMB Juniors and Aspull in Section B after recent wins. It was also Jubilee Cup time in the Under 11s where RMI, CMB, Hindsford, Hindley, Oxford Grove and Westhoughton Rangers all move into the quarter finals.
Back into the Under 12s where Whittingham netted five for his side Rivington Jnrs in their win and Warburton of Dunscar Dynamos and Ellison of Aspull both netted hat tricks and Aspull's goalkeeper Thompson did a Schmichael and bagged a brace.
