HINDSFORD Tigers put their league form behind them reaching the quarter finals with a 2-0 win against Oxford Grove -- Bablinski scored both.

Last year's finalists Ladybridge Athletic just edged out league leaders Bolton Lads/Girls 3-2. There were three own goals in the match but Spencer scored twice for Athletic. Last season's cup winners Bolton County Pumas beat Ladybridge Bulldogs 4-1 with goals from Gwilt (2), Archer and Hill.

Bolton County Panthers also had a fine 5-1 win against a much fancied North Walkden -- Kaye 2, Cuniff, Adamson and an own goal secured a win.

Wigan Town proved too strong for Little Hulton winning 10-1 in an one-sided affair with Tyson scoring five.

Springside Junior Wolves won 2-0 at Hindley Junior Hornets and are a team to watch in the next round.

The battle at Bromley Cross between the Eagles and the Rhinos went the way of the Eagles when Guffog scored the only goal of the match in extra time.

Horwich SM Bullets were happy with a 3-1 win at Springside Wanderers with goals from Smith, Bolton and Giblin to go into the next round.

But the HSM Torpedoes were sunk 5-0 by Westhoughton Rangers for whom Ashton, Arkwright, O'Connor, Hulme and Murphy-Griffiths all scored.

Ladybridge Crusaders just edged a 2-1 score against Astley Bridge with two goals from Holland. Brandlesholme Warriors beat Leigh RMI Tigers 5-0. HSM Bombers went into the hat winning 3-0 against Westhoughton Park Rangers thanks to a hat-trick from Howell.

Hindley Junior Jets were too strong for Bolton County Crusaders winning 5-0. Prescott 2, Wills/Vose and Yates all finding the net.

The result of the day must go to St Andrews who won for the first time this season when beating Winsfield Rovers 4-3 with a hat trick from Chesworth

Horwich St Mary's Motors picked up their first points of the season with victory at Westhoughton. Farnworth Sables and Servals put up spirited performances against the top two teams in the league
