BOLTON Under 15s dismal season continued when they went down 7-3 to Trafford in their Greater Manchester Schools' League match at Ashton on Mersey on Saturday.
It was the town team's sixth defeat in a row but they made a tremendous start racing into a 2-0 lead after 16 minutes.
The local lads quickly went in front with a Danny Cunningham (Withins) goal and they added their second through Matthew Stevens (Smithills).
Trafford made a quick reply through Liam Brownhill and they equalised through Thomas Caines before going on to take a 3-2 half time lead with a William Ahearn goal.
Lee Hendley made it 4-2 after the restart but Bolton bounced back reducing the arrears when Stevens headed home from Nicky Adams' (Sharples) free kick.
But the Bolton lads were forced back in the late stages of the second half and Trafford ran out 7-3 winners with goals coming from Brownhill, Caines and Simon Tarry.
Bolton Under 14s were more fortunate holding Trafford to a 2-2 draw in their Greater Manchester School's League match.
The local youngsters made a dream start when Billy McGuinness (Turton) fired them in front in the 1st minute after receiving a John Fairhurst (Westhoughton) pass.
Trafford equalised after 15 minutes but Bolton bounced back to restore their lead before the break when Fairhurst headed home a Joe Whittaker (Mount St. Joseph's) cross.
Bolton keeper Tom Fairclough (Turton) made a super save to maintain his side's lead but he could do nothing to prevent Trafford's second equaliser which came ten minutes from time.
Bolton hit back again and debutant Michael McGinley (Rivington) forced the home keeper into three fine saves.
Bury Under 15s came unstuck going down 1-0 to Stockport in their Greater Manchester Schools' League match at Kingsway School.
Stockport opened the scoring mid way through the first half through Joe Shaw (Priestnall) and held onto their lead until the break but they were forced back for large parts of the second half.
Keeper Robert Acton made a couple of super saves from Michael Wilkinson and Bury also had two great chances to equalise when Chris Reid broke clear only to shoot wide.
Stockport stood their ground but they almost conceded a last gasp equaliser when Oliver McGee hit the bar.
