Horwich Cycling Club were well placed in the standings going into the latest rounds of the North West Cyclo Cross League and finished with four riders placed in the top eight.

Andy Parry was second, Dave Headon third, Mark Leyland fifth and Denis Keaskin eight, while in the U-16's it was Amy Hunt leading with Cal DiFalco close behind in third looking to challenge Amy while Stephanie Dub had virtually sewn up the Women's title with a 100 per cent winning record.

In round ten at Wigan Wheelers at Ashurst Beacon, Wigan, the senior race boasted a quality field in which Mark Leyland finished 6th, Andy Parry 10th, Dave Headon 13th, Dave Leyland 21st and Eric Taylor 33rd.

Stephanie Dub once again finished the first woman while in the u-16s race, Cal DiFalco managed to get one over Amy finishing first with Amy second.

The next round meant a trip to Northwich where Weaver Valley RC held their event. Better results were acghieved by the men with Mark Leyland an excellent thirdrd, Andy Parry fourth, Denis Keaskin 10th and Dave Headon 12th. Dave Leyland had to retire during the race due to injuries sustained in an accident while reconnoitring the course. Stephanie, unsurprisingly, was once again first woman with Cal DiFalco taking an easy win in Amy's absence in the u-16s.

The latest round was staged at Otterspool, Liverpool. Mark Leyland went one better to finish second, Andy Parry fifth and Dave Headon 17th. Cal notched up another win with team-mate Richard Sale second and Amy fourth.
