ON September 27, I was admitted to C3 Ward at The Royal Bolton Hospital. I was treated for pneumonia.
I would like to say that the dedication of the nurses and their loyalty to their patients was overwhelming. Everyone was helpful, understanding. Nothing was too much for them.
They tended to every need without hesitation, even though they are very -- and I mean VERY-- understaffed, and run off their feet. They are wonderful. This includes the night staff, whom I would like to thank as well. There were only two nurses -- one qualified and another. They worked very hard and conscientiously. I was then discharged and nursed at home.
On Saturday, November 3, I was rushed in again as an emergency case. I had a stroke. My left side had no movement. This time I was admitted to the Assessment Ward B3 and then transferred to B4 Ward. Again, they were marvellous. Everyone -- day staff, night staff. I am now at home and learning to cope with the situation, trying rehabilitation and everything involved.
I cannot see why these very dedicated nurses and other staff cannot get more money. They deserve the earth! More money, more staff!
Once again, a big thank you to you all. May God bless you, Bolton's Angels!
