LIFELONG fan Clint Jolley was delighted when he was chosen to provide commentary on Wanderers game at Ipswich on Sunday for Sky TV's Fan Zone coverage.

Unfortunately there was one snag - he would have to miss the live action at Portman Road where Sam Allardyce's team will be looking for vital Premiership points against their Suffolk opponents.

Instead of joining up with the other loyal fans making the trip, Clint wlll be holed up in a studio in Middlesex providing commentary on pictures beamed back from the match.

"I must admit that took the edge off it for me," Clint admitted, "but I decided that in the end it would be an experience not to be missed."

Clint, a Wanderers fans since he started selling match programmes at the age of 13, has witnessed many of the highs and lows of the club during their recent history.

And one of those lows was the play-off defeat at Ipswich just over a year ago which ended in defeat with Wanderers players receiving two red cards and 12 yellows from controversial referee Barry Knight.

"We definitely owe them one after that night. I was there then and I wanted to be there again on Sunday but hopefully I can put words to the pictures of Wanderers gaining their revenge."

Cab driver Clint is so fanatical about his soccer favourites that his yellow painted taxi has personalised BWFC number plates and he is now hoping to go a step further by providing TV pictures from Wanderers games for his back seat passengers.

"I already have a karaoke machine in the cab and I've been talking to Touchline TV, who cover the Wanderers games, and I'm hoping they can provide me with tapes of their match coverage."

Sky TV are flying Clint down to their London studios to do his match commentary, which he will do in tandem with an Ipswich supporter, but he is worried about one thing - what he will say if a certain Mr Knight turns out to be the match referee.
