A BURY man has completed his Royal Navy basic training in Cornwall.
Ian Gooddy, 26, a stores accountant from Lowercroft has completed an intensive eight week course at HMS Raleigh.
At the Passing Out Parade he received the Ganges Trophy on behalf of his division which obtained the best overall results during their training.
Ian, a former Elton High School pupil, was a taxi driver before joining the Royal Navy.
