WHEN Clint Glaister was refused a drink after last orders he bit the landlord during a vicious brawl, a court was told.

Glaister had been drinking in the Lever Arms, Darcy Lever, when he went back to the bar.

But landlord Joaquin Zarro refused, saying it was after closing time.

Glaister then returned and started drinking from a customer's bottle on the bar and refused to put the bottle down when asked by Zarro.

Zarro alleged that when he went to the other side of the bar Glaister became aggressive and ended up head-butting him.

During the resulting brawl Zarro said Glaister bit him twice.

Appearing at Bolton Crown Court, Glaister, aged 21, of Hollycroft Avenue, Breightmet, denies assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Under cross-examination Zarro denied grabbing hold of Glaister.

The case continues.
