A MAN was rescued after falling down a 30 foot embankment.
The man, who has not been named, made an emergency call from his mobile phone at 4.55am today. He had slipped down a path near Manchester Road at the back of the Remploy factory.
A police helicopter was called in and ambulance, police and fire crews attended. The man was lifted on to a spine board before being taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital.
