BURY Under 15s look to return to winning ways when they travel to take on Blackpool for a challenge match on Saturday.

The town team made a fine start to the season beating Tameside 3-0 and Wigan 1-0 but they have not won a game since that victory on September 22.

They lost their first game when they went down 3-1 to Preston and they have since lost to Manchester, Liverpool, Wigan and Stockport and drawn against Salford.

Their last defeat was a 1-0 reverse at Stockport last week but Bury had enough chances to win the game.

Meanwhile, at individual schools level, Sharples School slipped out of the English Schools' Gerrard Cup after going down 6-5 after extra time to Middleton School in their 2nd Round clash.

At county level, Greater Manchester Under 19s made a fine start to their Premier League Trophy campaign beating Merseyside 2-0 in the Northern Counties section of the competition at Liverpool Soccer Centre.

Martin Andrews (Ridge Danyers College, Stockport) gave the Greater Manchester side a 1-0 half time lead and they clinched all the points after the break with an Alan McInnes (Holy Cross, Bury) goal.
