A QUAD bike rider was found to be over the drink-drive limit.
Police were passing the Ostrich pub on Bury Old Road, Prestwich, when the saw Sonny Booth, aged 23, sat on the machine.
Bury magistrates heard how officers discovered the engine was running and was still warm. Booth initially gave a false name.
A breath test showed he was over the limit. Later he was found to have 42 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The court heard that Booth, from Woodward Road, Prestwich, never drove the quad bike on the road.
Booth pleaded guilty to drink-driving, having no insurance and obstructing police. Magistrates were told that Booth was disqualified in July after a drink-driving offence. They adjourned the case until November 21.
