THE secret of Wanderers' success at Ipswich may well have been time off.
Because of England's international clash with Sweden last Saturday, Wanderers have had a fortnight to prepare for this game and it showed.
"We've enjoyed the last two weeks," agreed Sam. "We've had the opportunity to get away and improve our fitness in Marbella right after the Everton game and then we had a deserved few days off last weekend where the players could relax with their families. The way we played and the way we saw the game through to the end was very good."
Explaining the decision to substitute Paul Warhurst, the Bolton boss said it was a diplomatic decision rather than a tactical one.
"I think that one more foul and Mr Bennett might have seen fit to give him another yellow card and that would have been him sent off," Allardyce said.
"At the time we were under the cosh and we had to make sure we kept 11 men on the pitch so Paul came off."
