DETECTIVES are investigating the attempted abduction of a 25-year-old Bury woman.
She was grabbed by a man who tried to drag her into a car as she was walking home from the Megabowl complex at Pilsworth.
Police say that nearby there were two cars that both had their engines running -- a white Vauxhall Astra and a blue Vauxhall Nova.
The woman was asked by one of the men in the cars if she wanted a lift home and she refused.
Two Asian males are then believed to have jumped out of the back of one of the waiting cars and grabbed hold of her by the arm.
The pair then tried to force her towards the vehicles but she managed to pull away from them before running to a nearby pub to ask for assistance.
One Asian man is described as being 5ft 10in tall, aged 23, slim build and wearing dark trousers.
Police say the woman was very frightened by the ordeal but was otherwise uninjured.
