A 64-YEAR-OLD Radcliffe newsagent was treated in hospital following an attack and robbery at his shop.

Three teenagers burst into Blunt Newsagents on Moss Shaw Road at 6.40am on Sunday and knocked the man to the ground before striking him with what is believed to be a baseball bat.

They stole about £20 from the till before escaping in a red vehicle.

All three youths, believed to be aged 16, wore masks. The injured man was later treated at Fairfield Hospital, Bury.

Police investigations are continuing.
