A TOTAL of £9,000 has been granted to Bolton groups by the SRB4 Community Fund.
Nine organisations have been awarded £1,000 each. The Children's Opportunity Group will use their cash to pay for a transport escort, Friday Contact will use it for drama therapy, producing plays and a pantomime, and the Friends of Thicketford are planning to buy a computer.
An outing to Leicester will be part paid for with the grant to the Hamara Group, and the Haulgh Community Partnership will pay for room hire and activity materials for 11 to 18-year-olds.
A computer and photocopier will be bought by SKLPC and Starkie Moor Lunch and Leisure will get two electric cookers and tiling.
Training and information sessions, books, tapes and travel expenses will be provided for the Thicketford Bereavement Support Group, and Tonge Sports Club are using their grant to buy BMX bikes.
