A SIMPLE touch of kindness from Bolton Wanderers' manager, Sam Allardyce, shows the man is not only big in stature, but also in heart.
The Premiership manager may well be flying high, but he still took time out to act when he heard about the death of 66-year-old fan Derek Parker.
Sam had met Mr Parker before the Wanderers' 2-1 win at Old Trafford and spent time chatting to him. When he heard of Mr Parker's death from cancer, he organised a collection at the club. The money is being donated to Mr Parker's chosen charity.
At a time when football is so detached from its fan base, Sam has yet again done the town proud.
