ONE of Bolton's fastest-growing theatre companies presents its next production until Saturday.
CATS is an independent Youth Theatre Society and is a member of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association, Bolton Amateur Theatre Societies and Greater Manchester Drama Federation.
The Children's Amateur Theatre Society was formed in 1994 by Paul and Louise Cohen. It originally comprised 10 members, but has since expanded so much that last year it split into two groups -- juniors and seniors -- to accommodate the present 40 members.
Members of the senior group at CATS have chosen Godspell as their next production. Directed and choreographed by Louise Cohen, the company promises "an energetic, colourful, vibrant, wacky show".
Christian Brabin, aged 18, is playing the lead role of Jesus. Christian has been a member of CATS since 1994.
Other parts are played by James Eccleshare, Daniel Whitehead, Jonathan Cunliffe, Matthew Gavin, Katie Warburton, Elizabeth Oakes, Rebecca Brown, Katherine Davies and Amy Sandiford.
The show will be staged at the Theatre Church, Seymour Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton. Tickets (£4.50 for adults, £4 concessions) on 01204 659199. LEAD MAN: Christian Brabin
