DICKENS' classic Christmas tale is being brought to life by a host of local talent at Bolton Little Theatre.
Sandra Simpson has not only adapted the story, but is also directing it, incorporating dozens of youngsters to the BLT cast.
These include youngsters from Lostock School of Dance, pupils from Withins School, the IT and music departments of St James CE Secondary School, BLT's youth group and members of the Bolton Lads and Girls Club.
Theatre member Stephen Knowles has composed four new original songs, and will also appear alongside Carole Butler, Rachel Hadjigeorgiou, Rita Mayoh, Christine Pierce-Jones, Andrew Close, Tim Henshaw, Phil Lunt, Stuart O'Hara, Stewart Smith, Robin Thompson and Harvey Walton.
Costume and scenery also promise to be dazzling.
The production runs from December 1 to 8 at 7.30pm with three matinees at 2.30pm on December 1, 2 and 8. Tickets are from the Albert Halls Information Centre on 334400, or the theatre box office on 524469 from November 26 (6pm to 8pm).
