A BOLTON teenager appeared before magistrates charged with being in possession of an offensive weapon -- a baseball bat.
Daniel Glynn Jones, aged 18, of Bury Road, Tonge Fold, is alleged to have been in possession of the bat on November 21. The bat was in a vehicle. Jones is not accused of threatening anyone with the baseball bat.
Magistrates accepted jurisdiction of the case and it was adjourned for a pre-trial review on December 20.
Jones was released on bail on condition he resides at his grandparents address on Bury Road, Tonge Fold.
