BOLTON Busting Breast Cancer is among a host of charities to share in a staggering £17,000 raised by a charity ball.
Pals Lisa Maloney, Sue Hardman, Alison Ryan and Sharon Alexander have presented our campaign with a cheque for £1,300.
The prestigious ball -- for which 37 tables sold out rapidly -- took place at the Lion of Vienna Suite at the Reebok Stadium on October 13.
Guests entered a raffle which included signed David Beckham and Ronan Keating shirts and other prizes donated by local businesses.
Among the other charities to receive money is Breakthrough Breast Cancer, whose patron, HRH The Prince of Wales, supported the event.
Christine Blease, in charge of our appeal, said: "I am so pleased that the people in Bolton have obviously been thinking about the appeal and our now acting on it -- all of which keeps breast cancer in the public eye and hopefully is making us all more breast aware."
