RADCLIFFE Boro go into tomorrow's home Unibond League Division One fixture against Farsley Celtic leading the table by four points but fully aware of the need to extend the winning league sequence beyond the current four game mark.
Harrogate Town have slipped quietly into second place, have two games in hand on Boro and tomorrow are at home to next to bottom Kendal Town.
Events elsewhere cannot be entirely ignored but Boro's destiny is in their own hands and the midweek LFA Marsden Cup exit at NWCL Division One Clitheroe in a 2-0 defeat could be no bad thing given the top priority of promotion this season.
In the NWCL Rambottom United look to extend their winning run to four games in a home fixture against fifth in the table Kidsgrove Athletic. Mike Kelly's side clocked up the best victory in that run on Tuesday night with a 2-1 away win at third placed Prescot Cables.
Striker Russell Brierley has now served his suspension out and is looking to add to his impressive scoring tally this season which saw him voted NWCL Division One Player of the Month for October.
Atherton Colls have been in good form with four consecutive victories, including two cup games, and tomorrow they travel to third from bottom Maine Road. Atherton LR, having achieved a quite amazing 2-1 victory at Nantwich Town last Saturday, entertain Skelmersdale United at Crilly Park. Daisy Hill travel to the North West Counties League's new addition this season Norton United in Stoke-on-Trent.
