POSTERS appealing for information into the murder of teenage prostitute Carly Bateman in The Haulgh in Bolton are being distributed throughout the town this weekend.
Carly's naked body was discovered in an alley behind Crawford Avenue in the early hours of Sunday, November 11.
Officers are still trying to find the clothes 17-year-old Carly was last seen wearing at around midnight on Saturday, November 10 - light coloured three quarter length pants, a grey and blue top with 'Ellesse' written across the front and white Reebok trainers with pink inserts.
The police pod has also now been moved from Crawford Avenue to Bromwich Street, where a number of prostitutes are known to work.
DCI Tony Cook who is leading the investigation said: "It is still very important that anyone who knew Carly who hasn't
spoken to police comes forward.
"Some prostitutes may be worried about speaking to officers because they have outstanding warrants. I want to reassure them that these matters are not important, and won't be looked at by officers.
"We need to speak to them about Carly so that we can find her killer."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room on 0161 856 5916 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
