TWO young Bolton singers are in London today in a bid to land a record contract.
Lauren Crossley, aged 16, from Farnworth, and Hayley Roberts, aged 14, from Boothstown, entered the Roadshow Competition -- a contest held across the country to find emerging music talent.
The pair are now in the final 20 having beaten 12,000 hopefuls all wanting to sign a one-year single and album deal.
Lauren has been singing for 2 years and is currently working as a semi-professional.
Hayley has been singing for two years and has just completed a set of demo recordings with the producers of Irish pop band Westlife.
Both are managed by Jean Pasquill who runs Melody Pop Tuition in Farnworth. She said: "I'm really proud of them both. They have wonderful futures ahead of them."
