WANDERERS are looking for rich pickings from two famous Serie A clubs who have hit on hard financial times.
Sam Allardyce says there is no substance to repeated speculation that he is trying to sign Parma's 31-year-old Cameroon international striker Patrick Mboma but admits he has been in Italy checking out potential targets.
"The possibility of more Italian players coming to England is greater than ever," the Reebok boss predicted today, "because Italian clubs are struggling financially more than ever before.
"Fiorentina are virtually bankrupt and Lazio are struggling as well.
"Clubs are looking to move players out and most players are wanting to come and play in the Premiership."
Fiorentina players have not been paid for four months and become free agents if they do not receive their wages this weekend.
