AN England team were in top form in a match in aid of St Ann's Hospice at the Shirt Club, Radcliffe.
Scores -- Les Fitton 180(3), 140(2), 137, 100(8), 97, 95, Pat Middleton 133 95(2) 89 83(4), Graham Warburton 140 135 120 100(4) 99 95, Tina Middleton 140 100(3) 95 85(3), Brian Wright 140 100(7) 95, Gary Cartmel 140(4) 134 100(8). Losing only one game out of 10 mixed games played to the Farmer's Arms, Darcy Lever, Brian Higson, Andy Massey, Ian Openshaw, Stuart Isherwood, Tricia Carter and Carol Hewart who won the Bill Lennard Memorial outstanding team cup award.
The David Pearson Memorial Lancashire Ladies team cup was won by Lancashire B team Pat Middleton, Tina Middleton, Tricia Carter, Deanne Hancock, Carol Hewart and Kay Boyes. The Lancashire high score winner was Radcliffe's Tricia Carter scoring 140. Lancashire's A team player, Little Lever's Lynn Hayward was runner-up scoring 140.
The high score trophy winners were Doreen Taylor 79, Andy Massey 95, Keith Hartley 100, Julie Broxton 100, David Swindells 133. Jim Cunliffe 100, Jack Hardy 100, David Owen 100, Colin McDonagh 92, Rob Flitcroft 140, Jim Warburton 100.
The cup and trophies were presented by Radcliffe AC Secretary Tom West and his wife Joan. The match raised £203.50 for St Ann's Hospice.
