I FULLY agree with D Carey (BEN: November 14), the idiots have been setting off fireworks since October 4, and are still setting them off.
As I write this on Remembrance Sunday, they continue.
Whatever sort of society has been created? Noise, shouting, loud music. The blame must be put on the government and its so-called ministers who rejected a ban on fireworks.
How many of those who really know historically, that to celebrate November 5 was to buy an effigy of Guy Fawkes and burn it to nothing. But then came the introduction of fireworks and plenty of money to be made, so the government will not ban it.
We have become a very selfish society. It's time children and so-called young are advised that they must have respect for others, this includes their parents. Once they achieve that then self respect comes to the fore.
Putting fireworks though an elderly lady's letterbox shows the sub-normal mentality. Animals and wildlife suffer, babies are disturbed and frightened sick people must be going through agony.
I note Bolton Council have hundreds who have not paid their council tax. You can bet they had money to buy fireworks.
