A SOLDIER from Bolton braved the elements when he took part in the annual Exercise Cambrian Patrol.
One of the many highlights of the British Army's training calendar, the event featured 106 international Regular and Territorial Army teams.
The patrol involves soldiers completing a two-day mission including a range of character-building activities.
Danny Wilson (pictured right), former Westhoughton High pupil and now part of the 1st Battalion Kings Regiment, said: "I wanted to do it for the challenge, and to say I've done it. I did dread some parts of it but you have to keep each other going"
He is pictured with colleague James Lavelle in the wilds of the Cambrian Mountains.
