A BOLTON Sister, who devoted her time to helping generations of children in the community, has died at the age of 74.
Sister Therese entered the Sisters of the Cross and Passion in 1944 at Mount St Joseph RC Church in Bolton.
After completing her training seven years later, she spent several years teaching in Yorkshire.
In 1970, she moved to St Ethelbert's School in Bolton, where she was head-teacher until her retirement in 1988.
She continued to work with children and spent many hours in Mount St Joseph Secondary School, helping pupils with reading difficulties.
For the last 10 years of her life, she struggled with Parkinsons Disease and moved to Belfast in 1999 to be nearer her family.
She was cared for in Villa Pacis convent by her own sister until her death on November 19.
